Dr Kapilan Varatharajah

MBBS, FRANZCR

Kapilan completed his MBBS at the University of Adelaide, and then returned to Melbourne to undergo his specialist training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He developed a sub-speciality interest in musculoskeletal imaging, and has completed a post graduate fellowship in MSK radiology, with a special focus on ultrasound and spinal intervention. 

Kapilan currently holds an appointment as a consultant radiologist at Royal Melbourne Hospital, and is a member of our Berwick branch.

Since joining the Marina team in 2020, Kapilan has been a great asset in providing high quality scans and reports; all whilst maintaining an excellent rapport with referring practitioners and patients.

Outside of work, Kapilan enjoys travelling, music and advocates a holistic balanced lifestyle.
